Preserving the Legacy of Hollywood through Adaptive Reuse

In collaboration with Sony Pictures, RIOS transformed the original 85-year-old Sony Scenic Arts Building into a grand multipurpose event space, achieving Fitwel certification and LEED Gold. The renovations included expanding existing production offices and backlot trade spaces while connecting to a new building with adaptable production office space. The revitalized design preserves the unique character of the 1939 Scenic Arts Studio while reimagining it into a functional and culturally immersive experience that invigorates cinematic history.

Echelon Studios

Reinventing the typical sprawling studio lot, Echelon Studios is the first purpose-built urban studio in Los Angeles in over two decades. The soundstage production facility and creative office campus brings a full-service studio lot, integrating the best of technology and creative resources by stacking the offices and bungalow villages vertically and opening spaces to the outdoors for a stronger connection to the public realm. UTA Bungalows

Harlow at Sunset Las Palmas Studios
