Recommended Platforms for Cloud Exam Practice Test

100 Days Of Cloud Blueprint (Chapter 15)

I have used many platforms to prepare for my cloud certification exams.

In this chapter, I will share with you the platforms that I have been using to prepare for my cloud certifications.

Below are my recommendations for your reference.

Whizlabs

I use Whizlabs mainly for its training videos and practice tests.

I prepared nearly all of my Microsoft Azure certifications using these videos and practice tests.

Often I find over 10 identical questions would appear in each exam, which largely increased my chance of passing.

I had subscribed to an annual plan back then.

The plan allowed me to access all the training courses and practice tests available on Whizlabs.

That was a great investment to me, as the quality of the practice tests was great.

I also like its wide coverage of certification exams by different vendors.

Below are the Azure certifications that I used Whizlabs' videos & practice tests for preparation and got a pass:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (April 14, 2021)
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (April 12, 2021)
• Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (March 30, 2021)
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (February 25, 2021)
• Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate (January 14, 2021)

Below is my preparation workflow on Whizlabs:

• Select which cloud certification to take
• Sign up for an exam (to set a deadline for myself) - Remarks: Not on Whizlabs; but on the cloud vendors' portal
• Go through all the training videos from beginning to end (in 2x speed)
• Do all the practice tests (in practice mode; not timed)
• Whenever there are questions that I am not sure about the answer, check "Mark for review"
• Review all the wrong questions and all the questions that are marked for review
• Revisit some of the training videos to clear the concepts
• On the exam day, revise all the wrong questions and all the questions that are marked for review once more before the exam

This was how I accomplished the many Azure certifications in my 2nd round of #100DaysOfCloud.

Remarks:

If you take a closer look at the dates I get the Azure certifications, you may notice that I had a fast pace passing the two "Expert" level certifications in a very short period of time. It's because at that time I just resigned from my 1st cloud role as a Cloud Engineer.

I studied all day and spent the first two weeks of April (2021) to prepare for the Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification, completing two required exams (AZ-303 and AZ-304) on the same day.

I followed the above workflow for preparation, with a single tool, Whizlabs, only.

Udemy

For AWS Certifications preparation, I used the practice exams prepared by Neal Davis, Founder of Digital Cloud Training.

• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner Practice Exams (CCP)
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate Practice Exams (CSAA)

I appreciate Neal for his detailed explanations so that you can clear the concepts after reviewing the questions wrongly answered.

Moreover, I appreciate Neal for updating his training course and practice questions regularly, so that you would not miss the newly released AWS services.

Remarks:

I particularly like Udemy for the great learning experience using its mobile app.

If you prefer doing the practice exams using mobile phone, Udemy is a good choice.

I usually use Udemy's mobile app to do practice exams when I am in public transport on the way to work or on the way home.

However, if you prefer to do the practice exams using computer (to simulate the real exam environment) AND you want to have more training modes (For example, practise without the timer turned on), I would recommend you enrolling your practice exam directly from Digital Cloud Training.

Notes to Remember

• I recommend Whizlab's annual subscription if you are going to take multiple Microsoft Azure certifications
• I recommend Neal Davis' practice exams if you are taking AWS certifications
