Ranksey Roundup #4: Why You Shouldn’t Use AI

Since the launch of ChatGPT, AI has been all the rave, being in the news every day. Some people hate it, some people love it, and some people think it’s going to take over the world in the worst way possible.

While many people love it because it can be used to make your job easier, a lot of SEO’s and content writers are going about it completely wrong.

📰  MARKETING NEWS, UPDATES, & TIPS

When ChatGPT first came out, it broke the internet because of its revolutionary advancement in Artificial Intelligence. And what made it even more groundbreaking is that it was a free tool anyone could use, not some supercomputer kept in a lab hidden from the public.

Many marketers love using AI because it can help ease their workload, while others fear that it will take over their jobs; however, it’s not likely this will happen.

While it is true that it can sometimes be a useful tool, a lot of content writers and people in SEO rely on it to do the heavy lifting, when in reality, it should really just assist with basic tasks.

When you produce content for your website with SEO in mind, your goal is pretty obvious – rank high on Google. There’s a couple of problems that you’ll run into with this if you just rely on AI to do the work.

The first being, the content usually won’t be optimized for SEO. You can tell ChatGPT to use specific keywords, and you can even go back and optimize it manually, but this still doesn’t solve the second problem – Google can pick up on AI generated content.

Google is probably the most sophisticated and complex AI model out there. I mean, it probably knows more about you than you even do.

So, if it’s that smart, then it can tell when you’re using AI. Now, while Google doesn’t specifically have an issue with you using AI, much of the content generated from these tools is essentially recycled from other parts of the internet.

And what makes it even more problematic is when everyone is giving the same prompts to ChatGPT and it gives everyone basically the same output. Google scrapes the internet, just like ChatGPT does, so it’s pretty easy for them to identify recycled content.

Lastly, recycled content is not what you want for your SEO content as it does not bring much new value to the table. Human interaction is required to make your content valuable to human readers and will be necessary if you want to get long-term organic traffic from your content.

How do you feel about ai taking sales rep jobs and customer service jobs? Air.ai . Id love to show you how it works Tanner Scott. I agree about chatgpt. Personally, i start with writesonic. And there should be human touches to it. Copy and pasting 100% AI is not the way to go. However, for teensie businesses, its better than nothing. For businesses with capital, definitely hire out the work. Yet having an option compared to high costs of human activity is better than having one option 🤷♂️ Chatgpt is such a distraction to AI, and SEO is an interesting subject since the digital landscape is changing based on "how we find information and services". Still really traditional, however, if you're following Microsoft Co-Pilot, thats a foreshadowing of the future. Of whats to come.
