Our Network Effect

Our Network Effect

We’ve got your back!

OK, so, what does that mean?

For starters, the Housing Innovation Alliance, LLC Innovation Alliance scans the landscape for emerging concepts, looks out and around the corner for potential threats, and looks for strategic partners to align with to help you, us, and the industry.

We are a growth and innovation platform where established players connect with peers and explore emerging opportunities. This is your hunting ground for new technologies and business models sourced from incumbents and new industry founders alike.

Filter out the noise. Define the Opportunity. De-risk growth. Align Partners.

To that effect, we brought all of that together in April for our  Housing Innovation Summit. Am I still talking about and writing about our Summit two months later?

You better believe it.  But it’s also bigger than the annual event - it’s an ongoing  conversation and continuous approach to strategic innovation.

After the dust settled the feedback I’ve been getting has been tremendous and we’re seeing the results of our network effect.  As the industry operates at a more balanced pace it is creating space for new partnerships and business opportunities. We continue seeing more and more new relationships form, products developed, and targeted venture investing into pre-seed through series A companies. #IYKYK

Those who attended the Housing Innovation Summit were there because they were looking for connections—ideas, capital and experts to help them execute. And I think we brought that.

On a few occasions after the Summit I've been told that our actionable programming, the quality of the speakers, and the thoughtful approach to connecting our network around those executing ideas is something that attendees couldn’t find anywhere else.

What I’ve found most rewarding, though, is the follow-up conversations with builders who took a list of 3-5 prioritized actions back to their team, then reached out to me asking for additional support and introductions to further deliver and integrate their ideas into their business.

And I'm particularly excited about the pathway we’re creating for students to explore the various career opportunities available in our industry through the personal connections and experiences being shared each time our network gathers.

I'm also looking forward to growing the opportunities we create for great founders to link up with leading builders and pioneering industry experts. One of the messages here is that everyone in the room has the abundance mindset—open to share, to grow together.

I might sound like a proud parent, but the Summit truly accomplished what we hoped it would for attendees—making real connections, walking away with more knowledge and inspiration to innovate, and, yes, amplifying the network effect.

But, this isn’t just about me or the Housing Innovation Alliance. It’s about you, too. Together, we can shape the future of housing.

For those that joined us at the Summit, let’s keep the conversations going, let us know how we can help by sharing wins and fail forwards.

To our members that didn’t make it this time around, don’t let FOMO get the best of you. Reach out and let us know what you’re working on and where we can help connect the dots.

And don’t miss the opportunity to join our next Innovation In Action road trip in Salt Lake City, October 12-13 (register here) where we’ll visit  Woodside Homes, Ivory Innovations, Ivory Homes, Daybreak Communities, Larry H. Miller Real Estate, BamCore and more...
