Our 5th Anniversary: What's New & What's Coming Next

The greatest potential of humanity cannot be unleashed by threat, including the threat to their income; but once your great potential has been released, even though you cannot become a millionaire, such a power can never lead you to starving or poverty -- at least not the poverty of the spirit. This could be the trade-off between material abundance and spiritual abundance.

It has been for five years, I never thought I can come to this far. Even for my past employments, I rarely worked for a company for more than a year; but now, I can actually work for my own company for FIVE YEARS, what is the implication? -- The only person who can satisfy me is myself, no one else, not even a highly paid salary can retain me except my passion and my love to freedom.

Without the kind of freedom that frees our mind, our creativity get restricted. But freedom doesn't mean ruleless, reckless, and discipline-less. For me, freedom means we are able to free our mind to see the real truth and discover the best and most respectful philosophical rules to follow for the greatness of all. The greatest potential of humanity cannot be unleashed by threatening their fear, including the threat to their income; but once your great potential has been released, even though you cannot become a millionaire, such a power can never lead you to starving or poverty -- at least not the poverty of spirit. This could be the trade-off between material abundance and spiritual abundance. Spiritual abundance has no limit, whereas material abundance has its limit, this is why many rich people suffer with 'emptiness' during their old age -- So why are you so afraid of unleashing your true power my dear friends?

What's new on our 5th anniversary?

On this 5th anniversary, we've brought you something that some of you might have been questioning about: "Why MalaysiaTraining.net never have an auto sliding banner on its homepage when it is so common for a modern web nowadays?" -- Now you can have it! But why so late? Well, our philosophy is to implement something by purpose rather than blindly follow the trend; but if the trend serves us a significant purpose, we'll go for it, if we have the ability and capacity to do it. But why now is the time?

Since the day we discovered Google Forms, we saw great and affordable potential on Google development platform, such as Google Apps Script, Google Firebase, and AngularJS; hence I told myself: Now is the time to go for our Business Process Automation! By moving towards Business Process Automation, we may have many exciting great news to announce along the way -- but can our existing 'static banner' enough for us to share this whole bunch of great news to our audiences? The answer is definitely 'No'. Therefore, here comes our new homepage auto sliding banners on our 5th anniversary! The features include the following:

  1. Smooth Fading Transition rather than Right-to-Left Sliding. Currently, this cool effect only available on Google Chrome. We'll consider making it available to other browsers when we have some free resources to do so.
  2. Progressive Visualization Slide Selectors. Unlike other typical dotted slide selectors available on most websites, we made them with five square boxes that represents five different slides and progressively change colour, from grey to red, as the slide transits from one to another. The active selector that corresponds to the current slide will glow for a while besides turning from grey to red. Such effect serves two purposes: a) It tells the audiences the direction of how our slide selectors correspond to the transition of the slides and b) by knowing the direction together with the progressive indicator, intuitively, you know how many slides you've missed and how to move backward. But unfortunately, such selectors are only available to desktop users. For mobile users, they may need to wait for their desired slide to reappear again; but we'll consider providing it to mobile users if we can really see its necessity over the cost of doing it.
  3. Hover slide selector to preview slide content. You do not have to click on the selector to view the slide. Instead, you only need to mouse-over it. When you move away your mouse pointer, it will resume from the slide whose selector that you last hovered on.
  4. Auto-replay when reaches the end. The slide will auto-repeat by itself when it reaches the last slide and the selectors will be all reset to grey colour again.

Interesting? Try it yourself!

What's coming next?

As mentioned above, our purpose of making this auto-sliding banner is to get ourselves prepared to update you with series of upcoming great news. Those farther ones we do not want to mention here, but below are those that will be coming in the near future on MalaysiaTraining.net:

  1. Party-based Email Notification Service for your Public Training Registration Request. When we first introduced our Google-based Public Training Registration Form that allows 3rd party to request for registration on-behalf of someone else, we used 3rd party add-on for Google Forms to implement our email notification service. Due to the limitations of that particular add-on component, we're unable to offer party specific email content to the users. Instead, we created a generic content for all parties, which include the 3rd party introducer, the attendee, the training coordinator of the corporate customer, and our members -- all of them see the same message. But after our further evaluation, this type of email content doesn't sound friendly and too wordy to some other irrelevant parties to read about. Therefore, we decided to develop our own email notification service based on Google Apps Script technology. In another one or two months time, you should expect our announcement soon regarding this new service.
  2. Expanding our Commercial Arts training category. As you can, our commercial arts category still contains only 3 courses, i.e. the photography training courses offered by Nikt Wong. But recently, due to the presence of ComSystem Solutions, they offered quite a number commercial art related courses, such as graphic design, web design, and 3D modeling design; hence, we're planning to copy some of these courses to the Commercial Arts category as the first phase of our expansion. We may introduce more other art schools and training companies to contribute more of such courses in the future. If you're an art school or training companies that provide commercial art related short courses, feel free to follow us on Facebook while our I'MTP membership application is under re-engineering.
  3. Changing the way we evaluate new candidates and improve the effectiveness of our I'MTP membership application process. Through these 5 years, we've gained more and more useful experiences in helping us to evaluate and select the right members more accurately in order to meet both parties' expectations. Therefore, together with the new Google development technologies that we've discovered, we're planning to re-engineer our membership application process in order for us to gain the right training providers, not only to balance up the diversity of training topics that our website can offer but also to ensure that we can bring a pleasant end-to-end training acquirement experience to both corporate and individual visitors -- Yes, we want our site visitors to enjoy great training experience with our members even when they're off MalaysiaTraining.net!

Of course, there will be more to come, but so far this is it -- as we know not many Malaysians like to read. We will keep you up-to-date as we move on. Be sure to follow us on Facebook in particular as we're more active on Facebook. For other social media networks like Google+ and Twitter, only major updates will be posted. But if you want to get extra fun and knowledge from us, our Facebook Business Page is the one for you.

Happy 5th Anniversary to MalaysiaTraining.net! See you next time!
