Nurturing Campus Hires With Our Graduate Programs !

Kohler recruited a bunch of graduate trainees in its IT wing and Global Shared Services (GSS) at Pune through campus placements to infuse the company with new ideas and create a varied workforce, including age and experience diversity. Their new perspective will aid the team's evolution toward unconventional thinking leading to enhanced productivity, innovation, and decision-making across the organization.

Over 500 applicants went through a structured recruitment process and 16 GETs with the propensity for innovation and entrepreneurial thinking were selected to start their campus to corporate journey in Kohler IT, Pune. The intent of the graduate program is to build strong talent pipeline for future in order to support the scale of operations as we grow our IT wing in Pune.

'Katerpillar’ is #KohlerIT 's unique Campus to Corporate Induction Program !

The goal of this induction program was to train our GETs in the existing technologies while also introducing them to the world, legacy and rich heritage of Kohler. The sessions conducted were divided into Business and HR-led segments. The 40+ hours of business-led sessions focused purely on honing their technological knowledge whereas the HR-led sessions covered #Leadingboldly behaviors, DE&I, workplace ethics, time management and training on soft skills.

In addition to this, GETs got to visit Kohler Experience Centre in Mumbai and had a tour of ITC Water lab in Pune as part of their field trips, where they witnessed live Kohler projects.

"Building relationships with people who come from different cultures was something crucial that we got to learn the very first day. We explored a lot of technologies in the training sessions, some of which were unheard of and truly fascinating," shared Chinmay Babar, a trainee.

Katerpillar’s focus was to foster team bonding and Kohler ways of working and this was achieved through fun and learning sessions which were beyond the classroom experience. Ice breakers, scavenger hunts, dance fitness, guest lectures were incorporated as a part of their curriculum and it all culminated into a 24-hour long hackathon. 

The hackathon was held to evaluate their 4 weeks of learning, where the GETs were split into teams of 4 and given a problem statement which they had to find a real-time solution and present it to the panel post 24-hours. Well, there is always a winner but all the 4 teams participated in the competition with equal zeal.

After a month long induction cum assimilation program the GETs are now deployed to various teams under experienced managers - AEM (Adobe Experience Manager), DevOps, Automated Testing, Programming and Development etc. to help them blossom from Katerpillars to beautiful butterflies as they grow in the corporate world.

Kohler GSS Welcomes its First Batch of Graduate Trainees at Pune !

Kohler GSS hired 7 recent commerce graduates in a variety of positions from the Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce and Symbiosis College in Pune through a well crafted selection process. The common skillset admired amongst all new entrants are tenacity, passion for learning and a willingness to adapt to new technologies.

'Bold Beginnings' - The three-week induction program inspired by the notion of embracing new perspectives was designed to introduce the trainees to Kohler's history and culture, their responsibilities and the organizational structure.

Our trainees started their beautiful journey at Kohler with bonding and fun engagement activities, office tour, interactive sessions with leadership, informative discussions on DE&I, and creating connections through 'Greet and Meet' sessions.

The induction covered overview of Central Capabilities and the importance of Customer Service Excellence along with imparting #loveforlearning through Leading Boldly, Linkedin Learning, Soft Skills and Corporate Etiquettes training sessions.

We are all ready to Own it and boldly begin our journey with Kohler,” shared Hrishikesh Ghanate, a trainee. 

Post induction, Kohler GSS trainees are assigned to various operations like H2R, R2R, and P2P where they are all set to make their Bold Beginning.

Although "Bold Beginnings" and "Katerpillar" are separate branches, the idea behind them is the same; enable smooth transition of these young blood from campus to corporate and nurture them to build future leaders of Kohler.
