Microsoft's New Commerce Experience (NCE) and what does that mean for you?

Microsoft's New Commerce Experience (NCE) and what does that mean for you?

Recently Microsoft has announced a change how Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) customers purchase and manage their licenses through their partner Program.

In January 2022, Microsoft launched its New Commerce Experience (NCE) intending to reduce complexity and provide long term cost saving commitments and establishing additional features to make CSP a comparable alternative to the established Enterprise Agreement (EA).

Another announcement from Microsoft. In addition to the NCE, there will be a price increase that take effect from 1st March 2022 for the following licenses:

Microsoft 365 E3

Microsoft 365 Business Premium

Microsoft Business Basic

Office 365 E1, E3 and E5

Did you know about (NCE) If not, what should you do and when?

Key dates to pencil in.

March 1st, 2022 – price increases across Microsoft 365 licenses now in place. From March all new and renewing CSP subscriptions will be obtained through NCE.

October 1st, 2022 – CSP customers will now have to obtain through NCE.

We suggest that you speak to us about transitioning to NCE before March 1st, 2022, to avoid Microsoft 365 price increases and leverage the discounts available.

The NCE launch is a good opportunity to review the current licenses subscriptions to make sure you are not paying for licenses you don’t need or paying for premium features you’re not utilizing.
