Making Visible the Invisible with Arancha Martinez Fernandez

Making Visible the Invisible with Arancha Martinez Fernandez

“We can do a lot if we trust each other.”

In a time of so much despair around problems with the internet, Arancha Martinez Fernandez has used her moral imagination to make technology a means for transformation.

The Acumen Spain Fellow and founder of The Common Good Chain, a digital impact community that provides purpose-driven organizations with the tools they need to manage, trace, measure, certify, and report social and environmental impact in real-time, is using her expertise in technology to support change. Essentially, Arancha’s work is to create digital identification for vulnerable groups who often have no legal proof of their existence so that they can access basic government support and resources.

Arancha is making visible the invisible – so far, over 300,000 children in India.

Her work is rooted in trust; in community. And her commitment to the Acumen community is unparalleled. Watch our conversation here.

Thanks for your time Jacqueline Novogratz!! . And also thanks for making me understand in Madrid last month that I have to make peace with my privilege and use it to contribute to a better world (where every single person is and feels visible and has a voice). Will definitely keep building #MoralTech (new concept 😅) to help that happens!!!
