Kenwood Country Club’s Ryne Burnett, PGA, Receives 2021 SOPGA Youth Player Development & Operation 36 Master Top 50 Coach Awards

December 7, 2021

Cincinnati, OH | Kenwood Country Club is pleased to announce that Assistant Golf Pro and Junior Golf Leader, Ryne Burnett, PGA, is the recipient of the 2021 Southern Ohio Professional Golfers Association’s Youth Player Development Award, for the third year running. In a separate award, Burnett has also been elected to the first class of Master Top 50 Operation 36 Coaches.

In response to receiving these recent honors, Burnett writes:

“I am very humbled and honored to receive these recognitions, however, none of my accomplishments would be possible without support from my family, the entire team at Kenwood CC, and the teams at Birdie Basics and Operation 36.”

KCC’s Director of Golf, Shawn Costello writes:

“Congratulations to Ryne Burnett for his recent recognition as the 2021 Southern Ohio PGA Youth Player Development award recipient. So proud of his efforts in helping create one of the strongest junior golf programs in the country.”

Dylan Petrick, KCC’s CEO adds:

“Congratulations to Ryne Burnett on his continued success at leading Kenwood CC’s Junior Golf Program, to being the best and most fun in Cincinnati – and one of the best in the Nation.”

This award is designed to recognize a SOPGA Professional who is a leader in youth golf, reflects the image and qualities that juniors can emulate, and provides opportunities for juniors to learn and play golf. A member’s contributions to Sectional and National youth programs and involvement in the promotion and development of youth golf at the facility and community levels are some of the criteria considered for this award. SOPGA writes:

“Ryne Burnett, PGA, Assistant Professional and Junior Golf Leader at Kenwood Country Club, is the 2021 recipient of Southern Ohio PGA Section’s Youth Player Development Award. With a teaching foundation rooted in his love for the game, Burnett has a gift for developing junior golfers. Since becoming a PGA Member in 2017, he has jumped in to learning the best practices for developing new golfers from an early age. His implementation of various programming gives new golfers a taste of the game and encourages them to build confidence on the course, creating a lifelong golfer. The 2021 Youth Player Development Award is Burnett’s first recognition for industry success in Southern Ohio.”

In regards from the team at Operation 36 on the Master Top 50 Operation 36 Coach Designation, they write:

“Congratulations, Ryne! Based on your hard work and dedication to creating golfers over the last few years, you have been elected as a Master Top 50 Operation 36 Coach!
By earning a 3rd year of Top 50 this year by delivering an amazing experience once again to your players, you will be elected in the 1st class of being a Master Top 50 Operation 36 Coach in January of 2022.  We view this as the ‘Hall of Fame,’ of Operation 36 coaches.
We are grateful to have you in the Operation 36 Network and we know that your students are lucky to have you as their coach.  Unlike every other award for golf professionals, yours is backed by data that you are creating golfers, increasing rounds, and making an impact on our game.  And it is backed by year-over-year results.
Our original intention when creating the Top 50 Award was to be able to show families which coaches and teams are going ‘above and beyond’ every day for their golfers. With the addition of the Master status that you earned this year, families will forever know you offer the best of the best experiences in delivering Operation 36 program experiences.”
