J&T Real Estate a triple winner at CIJ Awards Slovakia 2014

The CIJ Awards Slovakia for 2014 took place in Bratislava’s Sheraton Hotel on Wednesday evening in front of an enthusiastic crowd. In a year marked by a reduced supply of new projects, this year’s gala evening produced 11 prizes in honor of projects, companies and individuals. The first prize handed out was for Best Residential Development, a sector which has undergone a transformation, with high-quality projects now being delivered that match market demands. It was with this background that this year’s prize went to Byty Vilinky, a project by YIT Reding.

In the category of Best Industrial/Warehouse Development, another sector in which new supply tends to match market demand quite closely, the prize went to P3 for its warehousing and distribution facility (DC4) at P3 Bratislava. P3’s country director, Peter Jánoši, was on hand to collect the prize, and it wasn’t long before he was asked to make a second speech on stage when his name was announced as the winner of the Industry Leadership Award for 2014. When it came to Best Overall Development for this year, J&T Real Estate was the company called to the stage to receive the prize for its project Westend Gate, the most important addition this year to Bratislava’s office market. The same company won Lease of the Year for its deal with Johnson Controls International.

This left the company prizes for 2014 to be handed out, with the first of these being Law Firm of the Year. The honor was awarded to Havel, Holásek & Partners, its first win in this category. Another newcomer to the winner’s stage was Tatra banka, which took home the Financial Service Provider of the Year award. In the competition for Property Management Team of the Year, CBRE was once again unbeatable in Slovakia, however Cushman & Wakefield made a return to its winning ways by coming in first for Best International Real Estate Agency. The Best Local Real Estate Agency went to the residential specialists at HERRYS. The final prize of the evening was the prestigious Developer of the Year category. CIJ readers determined that the most deserving winner for 2014 was J&T Real Estate.
