Intern Insights with Jonathon Duran the Mechanical Engineering Intern at NETFORM Maumee

NETFORM Maumee has had the privilege of having Jonathon Duran with us over the past 3 months. He came to us from the University of Toledo as a Mechanical Engineering Intern and what a great addition to our team! His sound understanding of engineering principles, ability to drive and acquire as much knowledge as possible and self-driven work ethic quickly resulted in workload relief. He has been an invaluable and contributing member of our engineering, sales, and production teams. 

We are excited to share with you his perspective on his experience with NETFORM. What a great future this young man has ahead of him!

Three months ago, I (Jonathan) began my last internship as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at NETFORM. Little did I know that this experience would be filled with so much growth, learning, and transformation! Today, I'm thrilled to share some highlights of my journey so far with you all.

🏭 Being part of this company’s rebranding phase has been an incredible learning opportunity that has allowed me to witness firsthand the efforts that go into shaping a company’s vision and values.

🌟 One of the aspects that make this internship stand out is the diverse exposure I've received. While primarily working within the mechanical engineering domain, I've also had the privilege of stepping into the shoes of various other departments, such as sales and purchasing. This cross-functional experience has not only broadened my understanding of the automotive industry but also provided valuable insights into the interconnectedness of different business units.

💡 Every day in this internship brings new challenges and opportunities. The guidance and mentorship I've received from seasoned professionals have been invaluable in nurturing my technical skills and honing my problem-solving abilities.

🤝 The team at NETFORM is the heartbeat of this organization. The camaraderie among colleagues has made every day at work enjoyable. I'm incredibly grateful for the collaborative spirit that has enabled us to achieve outstanding results.

🎓 Throughout this journey, I've come to appreciate the power of continuous improvement. The automotive industry is ever evolving, and to stay at the forefront, adaptability and a thirst for knowledge are essential. I'm fortunate to work in an environment that encourages curiosity and supports my personal and professional development.
