Inspiring Envisioner: A perfect work-life balance!

Shiv Dutt joined us as an intern, recently he has been converted to a full-time employee in view of his commitment to his work. We at Envision are proud of the uniqueness that each Envisioner brings, and we celebrate people like Shiv Dutt who challenge themselves and maintain a work-life balance because they have made a promise to themselves to “NOT TO GIVE UP.”

Shiv Dutt has participated in multiple Ultra trail marathons. One of his accomplishments was an 80 Kms run in Kodaikanal ultra marathon followed by Malnad ultra trail marathon which was 110Kms that he covered in 20 hours.

Love of Shiv Dutt’s life is cycling. Right in his first cycling brevet, he covered 200Kms distance and stood 2nd. After this win, he went for a whooping 600kms brevet from Trichy to Dhanushkodi which he completed within 40 hours. He also did a very adventurous solo cycling trip from Kanyakumari to Kashmir covering 4000Kms within 32 days.

Trekking solo is another hobby that Shiv Dutt has been pursuing and his major accomplishment has been the “Everest Base Camp” that he completed in 2020.   

He has also recently signed up for the “IRONMAN 70.3” which will take place in Goa this November. In this competition, he is going to swim in the ocean for 2Kms, cycle for 90Kms, and run 21Kms in 8 Hours 30 mins which he aspires to accomplish in 7 hours. This competition is also special because it has been sponsored by Envision, and the entire organization is excited and cheering for him.

There is a lot to learn from Shiv Dutt’s story including resilience and his intrinsic motivation to ‘not give up' no matter what. He is also setting an example of how one can bring work-life balance by pursuing a hobby that is so thrilling without letting it impact his productivity at work.
