"Where there is righteousness in the heart there is harmony in the house, when there is harmony in the house there is order in the nation, when there is order in the nation there is peace in the world." ― A.P.J. Abdul Kalam

As every individual dreams of his/her own future, every citizen dreams of his/her own nation. Similarly, I have dreams of my India. I want India to be one of the finest nations in the world with peace, prosperity and stability. I want India to be a global leader pioneering universal brotherhood and fraternity.

Address the Challenges: Here are some challenges we must address to take India to great heights globally. Presently there is a wide gap between the rich and the poor that needs to be bridged. A study shows that India has more number of billionaires. There is a disproportionate distribution of wealth in India. It shows that India is rich but Indians are poor. More people from rural areas are migrating to urban areas for better opportunities. Hence, proper infrastructure must be created. Bringing reforms in infrastructure helps immensely accelerate developmental activities. There is a need to build homes for the homeless. Corruption has become a cancer to Indian society. Hence, there is a need to bring appropriate viable legislations to check corruption.

We are rich in human resources and natural resources. But we are unable to exploit our natural resources. A small country like Singapore grew despite dearth of natural resources. Why cannot India grow despite being blessed with natural resources? Additionally, we have human resources especially more number of young population which is a demographic dividend for India. We must tap this precious young population and channel their energies for nation building. A study shows that there is unemployability problem in India arising out of defective education. The present education system emphasizes theory, not practical education. It encourages reading, writing and reproducing. It must be addressed earnestly to create skilled workforce to achieve better productivity and performance.

There is an urgent need to revolutionize agriculture. Make industry agrarian-oriented, not the other way round. Ensure that all Indians become literate and employed. They must live in peace and prosperity everywhere. It is said that next to God is neighbor. Hence, we must emphasize good neighborly relations to enable us to focus on development.

We have innumerable advantages. For instance, we survived global recession because of our inherent system. India is a nation where people all faiths live together. Diversity is the bedrock of India. Therefore, it is essential to strive for secularism to ensure unity and integrity of India. There must be tolerance and respect for all cultures, castes, communities, religions and regions.

India is the largest democracy in the world with the youngest population. We have the largest speaking English speaking population in the world. We produce goods and services at low-cost without compromising quality.

Build Global Leaders: Globally the baby boomers are retiring and there is a looming leadership vacuum. Hence, the young talent must be inculcated with leadership skills and abilities to groom them as leaders to shoulder roles and responsibilities. They must be kept in the leadership pipeline ready to encounter global challenges. These young leaders not only help India grow globally but also help other nations grow to build a better global society. Indians are adaptable and can go to any part of the world to work to build vibrant economies. They will make a huge difference to the global society.

Leverage India’s Demographic Dividend: We must know how to leverage demographic dividend. If we ignore it, we lose this great opportunity as this demographic dividend will become a demographic disaster due to more number of old people living in India after 30 years. Hence, Indian citizens and youth must leverage this advantage by working hard to take India to great heights. We have plenty of other opportunities presently. We must know how to grab them to make India as a strong country. We must cultivate a positive attitude and enhance our commitment levels to contribute our best to make India as an economic super power in the world. Remember, 21st century belongs to Asia and especially for India. India is a nation of aspirations. India is a nation of hopes. India is a nation of dreams. Hence, let us strive hard to accomplish our dreams to build a strong nation.

We must proudly say that we belong to the country of Mahatma Gandhi which taught the world by achieving independence through non-violence. We belong to the country of Swami Vivekananda who pioneered Indian spiritualism and bridged the gap between the east and the west. We belong to the nation of Saint Mother Teresa who served the poor and leper and revered as mother of compassion globally. Compassion and tolerance are the essence of Indian values and principles.

It is essential to inculcate patriotism and nationalism among Indians apart from imparting attitude and enhancing commitment levels. There must be shift in the mindset of people from being rights-oriented to duty-oriented. We must be proud of being Indians first and Indians last to make India as an economic power in the world. Jai Hind!
