The ADVERTISING Club (New York), is the oldest professional organization in servicing the marketing, media and advertising business and was begun in 1896. Relevance is an important part of these businesses and you can only imagine that to be relevant in this industry for 120 years you must lead and not follow. The club took on the mighty topic of diversity almost 30 years ago. The club has donated millions of dollars to retain, mentor, support and attract the widest array of talent to the industry. It's been a grand effort but it's really just beginning to have an impact in a meaningful way for women who drop out, men and women of color who have not traditionally penetrated the senior ranks and for those who traditionally are forced out because of agism.
