How engagement can grow your business

Talk about your business with friends and family

As a young entrepreneur it can feel so incredibly awkward and forced when talk about your new ventures; we don’t want to feel like we’re sounding full of ourselves or like we’re trying to sell them. I remember when we started our first company back in 2018 I waited a whole 6 months before I even mentioned it to my grandparents in fear they would judge, worry or potentially see me fail – because without acknowledgement if I did fail, then no one (except me) would be the wiser. I know SO many of us struggle with this when starting out and it’s such a normal feeling and it’s okay to feel how you’re feeling. What’s not okay is not acknowledging these feelings and not taking action to lean into these feelings and learn to get uncomfortable! Whether or not you’re seeing the effects of this initially or 6 months later like I did, it’s stunting your business growth. Let’s do our best to be ourselves and be authentic. Let’s let people in, let’s get a bit vulnerable, and let’s grow! Not everyone will be your supporter, but all you need to have is belief in yourself and those (super) abilities of yours.

Offer stellar customer service to your current clients

When we gain a new customer it’s the best feeling knowing that someone chose you to help them! We put all of our effort into showcasing our abilities and fostering these relationships that we need to work to maintain that effort no matter how old the client! Providing the best customer service will allow for you to retain your customers and encourage them to talk about you with their network! Perspective is your superpower: how would I want to be cared for as a customer?

Become a social butterfly on social media

In a digital world it’s hard to not be on social media, so whatever your preferred platform it’s time to spread your wings and get social on there! Like and comment on photos and content that you find interesting. Let your network know that you see them and appreciate their content. You’ll be surprised when you see how the actions are reciprocated back! Not only can we do this with our followers, but with people outside of our social media “bubble”. We can make more connections than ever with all walks of life from around the world, so let’s search our favorite hashtags or type of content and see who else is out there killing it and let them know that we see and appreciate them! Let’s spread the love.
