Frozen

Frozen

You ALL know how it feels.

Something big is about to happen and we all freeze on the spot.

Like truly stop breathing (with a small risk of a heart attack).

--

A few days ago I checked my Linkedin app for the last time before I went to bed, and saw Shay Rowbottom's LIVE notification.

I joined a bit, not for the first time, but she really answered some interesting questions about her Li activity and healing process in life, so I asked a few questions of my own.

A moment before I finally fell asleep, I got a DM from Shay's team asking me to join on-air (for the first time EVER in her show) and share my thoughts.😲

And then I froze. 😟

Like we all do when something exciting yet frightening is about to happen.

It took me a minute but I knew, deep down, I cannot miss this opportunity.

And I said YES (praying It'll be ok).

In 3 minutes' time, I had to put on a decent shirt and take off my (beloved) PJs.

My hair looked like Simba on acid (and I didn't have time to fix it).

No make-up, no lighting and I am definitely not a native EN speaker (while 80% of the audience are native Americans).

Yay. 😕

I'll admit it. It was scary. I had to chill for a minute.

A million thoughts of how I'm going to fail this ran through my brain in a heartbeat.

And then, IT HIT ME.

Everything I'm learning and posting about vulnerability is meeting me right here, right NOW.

Trusting myself I will make it, even if not perfectly, is the essence of vulnerability!

We all say It's better done than perfect but how many of us really practicing it when the time comes?

SoI I took a deep breath and told myself I'm going to dive into this lesson and just DO IT.

--

I went LIVE, internationally, with very little experience in such public speaking arena before, but with a 100% trust in my inner self.

And it was great.

I really enjoyed it.

The host said it was so fun after I finished!.

Conclusion -

Apparently, we are all human beings.

If our minds are properly trained, we can all do a lot more.

For me, It was great training and definitely a milestone in my personal Linkedin journey.
