Essex Furukawa Employees Join Forces to Clean Up Local Neighborhood

In a display of community spirit and corporate responsibility, employees from Essex Furukawa and Furukawa Electric came together to clean the streets surrounding the plant on the shared campus in Kameyama, Mie, Japan. After completing their regular shifts, these dedicated individuals volunteered their time to make a positive impact on the neighborhood they call home.

The clean-up initiative, which took place on June 4th, aimed to beautify the local area as well as demonstrate the companies’ commitment to being responsible corporate citizens. By extending their efforts beyond the perimeter of the plant, Essex Furukawa showcased their dedication to environmental consciousness and community well-being.

Masaaki Arahori, Environmental Health and Safety Representative at Essex Furukawa, emphasized the importance of this outing, stating, “Being responsible and environmentally conscious doesn’t stop at our facility’s fence line. The commitment to beautification extends well into the community.” His words highlighted the company values and dedication to making a positive impact beyond their immediate operations.

The effort by the employees not only contributed to the cleanliness of the neighborhood but also fostered a sense of unity. By working together towards a common goal, the teams strengthened their bonds and showcased the power of collaboration.

The clean-up event serves as a testament to our commitment to corporate social responsibility. Essex Furukawa understands the importance of giving back to the communities in which they operate, and this initiative is just one example of their ongoing efforts to make a difference.

As responsible corporate citizens, we will continue to prioritize community engagement and environmental stewardship. By actively participating in initiatives like the neighborhood clean-up, we aim to inspire others to take similar actions and create a lasting positive impact.
