Learn how to engage digital-first audiences
for maximum impact using social media

Last year a leading Dutch broadcaster used the Digital Identities framework to run their most successful campaign of the summer. In the UK, we supported an editorial team from a national newspaper to double the visitor numbers to a vertical in just three months. We helped a hyperlocal news website develop an informant network that has helped them break news stories attracting national coverage. Meanwhile, in Sweden we enabled four cultural organisations (who receive more than one million visitors) to develop digital-first approaches to storytelling to find new online audiences.

Working with the Digital Identities framework has been a real game changer. The strategic guidance has helped us generate conclusive, deliverable results.
Editor - Property, Telegraph Media Group, UK

“Digital Identities helped us take charge of engagement across the lifecycle of our story. We were able to develop a multi-platform approach and work in a responsive manner.” Editor, Omroep Brabant, Regional Broadcaster, The Netherlands

Are you an established journalist or hyperlocal publisher? Do you want to know how digital can work for you? Join us in Stockholm on 14 September for a free, full-day workshop to learn how to get the most out of your content by extending the lifecycle of your story using social media. You will explore a choice of models to understand how to bring your stories to your audience. We will also help you design and run a structured experiment to get the most out of social media.

The session will conclude with inspirational lightning talks from international journalists who are using social media to engage readers from the hyperlocal to global. This includes the Guardian, CNN, Dagens Industri as well as UK-based hyperlocal media. Google News Lab are supporting our programme and will provide a workshop focusing on how their suite of digital tools can help newsgathering and reporting.

It was useful to look at principles we are so familiar with, with a fresh look. I found it interesting to think about the identity of the audience. A real eye opener.” Commissioning Editor, VPRO, The Netherlands
