Is contribution of 10 INR annually can really save Rural India?

Indian people work can play a crucial role in the personal and social development of Indian Farmers and help them find their place in the society as a whole. As responsible citizen, it is my ambition to see young people of all social and cultural backgrounds participates fully in civic and democratic life.

This was a priority for me from the start of the mandate. But with the terrible weather condition this year, I am now even more determined to help tackle the risks related to joblessness, social exclusion and alienation.

Too many young people who born in farmer family in India today cannot look forward to leading an independent and fulfilling life; their future remains precarious. As the framers have been hit hard by the weather & water crisis. For a large number of them, the transition from agriculture to profitable has become more difficult. Too many are at risk of poverty or exclusion. Many feel that their views are not taken up by politicians. And as the data we are analysing for your forthcoming Agriculture Report show, more than half feel that in our country, the crisis has marginalised and excluded poor farmers from economic and social life. There is a serious risk that a large number will drift away from society.

But the question is this that Ten Rupees contribution per head can really solve the equation??

Let’s consider this: the current population of India is approx. 1.2 billion (or 1200 million) is therefore equal to 120 crores (12000 lakhs). ... 1,200,000,000 INR = 10 INR X 1200,000,000 = 120,000,000,000 INR Approx. for 1 Year.

Now the question is what, how and where we can use this money…and who will be taking the ownership to contribute and how it will be contributed…and who will be convincing people to contribute just 10 INR.

This is unacceptable. We need to do much more to support Framers – and People mindset can play a vital role in this.

First, we need to help them find their place in the GDP of India. As you know, reviving economic growth and rural areas in India is one of the top political priorities of this country. That is why we will propose a package of actions this year to support effected States in developing India Program.

This is of course something that does not only happen in the classroom. People work clearly also has a role to play. It helps Framers to understand and accept weather conditions and regional differences, to overcome alienation, and to create a sense of belonging and inclusion. Let me point out that we do not expect people work to compensate for what other players in society have failed to deliver. But given the threat of radicalisation, we must use all the tools at our disposal to tackle it.
