This book is dedicated to the enlightened leaders building future professional communities of personal development and authentic self-awareness. Our goal in writing this book is to raise awareness of the evolution of social change taking place within businesses and in professional communities everywhere today. 

We wrote this book for everyone who aspires to realize their full potential and to contribute to the improvement of others and to the world around them. This book is for experienced professionals as well as those just beginning their journey in life. There’s a seismic-shift taking place in the U.S. and around the world; the revolution of social responsibility and personal development has impacted the very way in which we look at life and ‘the workplace.’ The changes are evident in social circles and in the evolution of thought, as well as in what we now know inspires enthusiasm within our personal lives, communities and businesses.

Our intent is that every reader, no matter their path in life, will relate to and internalize the stories and lessons within this book. Our desire is that you’ll connect, laugh, cry (tears of joy) and reflect on your life and career, while discovering the spark that compels you to alter yourself and achieve what youdesire in through this gift of life that we live. 

We also hope that everyone who embarks upon this journey with us will apply these lessons and techniques to improve their view and outlook on life (work & play) and in their relationships with others. When we were asked to write this book, we realized that it aligned with our desire to support the success of others first—which is our calling. In fulfilling our desire while contributing to your success, you can then improve the lives of others through these same lessons! We sincerely hope you have as much fun exploring our book and find as much joy in identifying with the familiar characters as we did.And in what likely will seem to be the most controversial point of emphasis within the book, we want to impress upon you that “being selfish,” in the right context, is essential to your growth, your ultimate success, your contribution to others’ success, and in achieving all that you truly desire.

When you help yourself first, you’ll be better prepared and inspired to effectively help others. Only through being capable of giving freely to others first can you empower yourself with infinite possibility, conviction, confidence, and courage to receive far more than you ever imagined possible as the result of doing so. 

Lastly, we want you to do that which is natural and joyous for you, and that in turn inspires those around you and moves the world, which is our ultimate purpose. However, the first step to achieving this is to treat others with compassion, honesty, dignity, and respect.And in so doing, you too will achieve that which you most desire, and as a result, you too will become an Architect of Excellence!
