Celebrating successes and rebuilding for better

Last year, 3EN Group Limited delivered some of its most rewarding projects to date.

As I led an enthusiastic team of ERP consultants and engineerssome with years of experience, some newly appointed — into 2022, we knew we were ready to turn our hands to any task that came our way.

A sale-focused start to the year gave us a real boost. New opportunities and sizeable project wins allowed us the chance to flex our technical skills and take on new challenges. We relied on each other to step up to the mark to deliver the technical prowess 3EN is known for, reveling in the knowledge that we were the first-choice Oracle NetSuite integration team for some of the best businesses in Northern Ireland, the UK and Europe.

As the year progressed, we focused on project delivery. The momentum of integrating Oracle NetSuite projects for businesses who were yet to discover the value of a robust, flexible cloud solution kept us going as we charted new territory as a team. Larger and more complex projects than we’ve ever dealt with before kept us busy, and we spurred each other to develop professionally amidst the hustle.

The year ended with a focus on lead-generation as we chased new opportunities for 2023. It was a busy year, to say the least.

As I reflect on what we achieved, one thing I am certain of is that we ended the year as a stronger team than when we entered it. We faced unexpected challenges, and our capabilities were often stretched, but despite everything, we grew. I am proud to say that as a team, we rose to challenges and dealt with them.

With every new experience comes a learning opportunity. Challenges force us to take a step back and consider if what we thought were the best ways of working actually are.

Looking ahead, I want to ensure that we have structures in place to facilitate even greater success for 3EN in 2023. Whilst the bustle of 2022 made us a better team overall, I believe that this year we need to give ourselves time to figure out exactly what works and what doesn’t for facilitating the best Oracle NetSuite go-lives possible.

That’s where methodology comes in. By standardising our processes and honing Oracle NetSuite’s capabilities to suit our own ways of working, I want to create a framework where my team is set up to succeed. By having the right people in the right roles, I know that we can become an even stronger team.

The expertise of 3EN’s Oracle NetSuite ERP consultants is unmatched. We have some of the very best Oracle NetSuite technicians delivering excellence for our clients on a daily basis. What we need to do now, is drill into that expertise to create a resilient, flexible and diverse team that plays to the unique talents of each individual member.

In 2023, I am keen for senior consultants to train and develop more junior team members. On-the-job learning is crucial to mould up-and-coming tech professionals into the best future consultants they can be. We want people to grow, but we also want them to be supported as they take on new responsibilities at 3EN.

No matter how long a person spends in a training room, they will never reach their full potential without spending time with consultants and project managers who have walked the road before them. I am where I am today because of people who took an interest. And 2022 proved to me that that still works.

To free up time for senior team members of the team to invest in those around them, 2023 will be the year for 3EN to shape its own integration methodology following years of change and uncertainty. With such a thing in place, consultants like myself will have more time to think, to train and to refine strategies that ensure success that spans from our newest recruit to our longest-held client.
