Celebrating Resilient Women Everywhere

Never before in human history has the entire world been subjected to such a similar and combined isolation as the COVID19 pandemic.

Due to the virus's utter unpredictability, our lives were nearly identical across the globe for nearly two years, regardless of socioeconomic status, race, religion or gender.

However, I quickly discovered that, with a few exceptions, many women were able to remain on top of their game during the pandemic restrictions more easily than men.

Maybe this was due to the fact that ‘isolation’ and ‘being cut off or restricted’ from routines are not novel experiences for them.

We go through this a lot, whether it's during pregnancy, nursing a child or being the primary caregiver at home.

As a result, the lockdown felt like déjà vu for many of us ladies, so to speak.

During these lengthy lockdowns, I had the opportunity to notice many women who juggled multiple roles with such grace.

One of my Baggit employees, for example, awoke at 5 a.m, completed household chores, went for a run, supervised her young child's online schoolwork, and yet worked enthusiastically all day – sometimes until 11 p.m! A go-getter, she never stopped smiling while juggling to keep all balls in the air.

The team was aware of the lack of help from men in her home. They didn’t help in the domestic chores, even though her work hours were so tough. But resilient as she was, she bounced back fresh every morning.

There were so many such #resilient examples all around, who had decided what they wanted out of life and were working tirelessly to achieve it.

I can only say 'thank you' in amazement to these beautiful, intelligent and capable women who surround me and make life so much more meaningful for all.

At Baggit, we understand that our customers are ordinary women doing extraordinary things in extraordinary situations.

Our new digital campaign recognises and inspires the resilience of millions of its customers, as well as that of the brand, while inspiring them to do more.

Do you have a #resilientwoman story you'd like to share?

I would love to read it in the comments below, and you could win a Baggit Bag!

What about men? Are men not holding fort with enormous challenges to keep things looking good? I could be getting a Baggit India Private Limited for this comment alone, given that I buy the bags for the #Women in my life. Women are busy chasing the Bigger brands that are not #madeinindia

Firstly, the magenta kurti looks great on u mam... #resilientwoman is a topic close to my heart as I have shown resilience throughout my life. Bounced back much harder everytime I was pushed down not by any human but by the creator himself/herself. 2008 Oct diagnosed with pituitory tumor, almost loosing my vision, got engaged to the love of my lyf on Dec 31st 2008, next day I was in hospital for the head surgery.. A major surgery almost for 8hours. Nurses shaved the front portion of my head for the surgery.. Cudnt help it though ny wedding was scheduled for 1st March 2009...just three months behind... I was the most ugly looking bride.. As I was on steroids and I am still on it for the rest of my lyf. Recovered, started enjoying my married lyf. My work lyf was normal and I started growing in my career (corporate organization)... Leading a team and then leading a project. Inspite of my head surgery, I completed my post graduation in Commerce... And then gaining basic eligibility I changed my career to Teaching in a renowned Bschool (I was most passionate about). Being amongst youngsters, students..my life changed for good... But God still had some more pending recovery from me I guess... Contd...
