Are you interested in exploring a career in the media?

Perhaps you have a curious mind and have considered a career in journalism? Or maybe you have an area of expertise or interest that you're passionate about sharing by developing your own podcast? Then this course will fulfil all the requirements you need to change your career, improve your skills and pursue your interests.

Kerry College and Radio Kerry are inviting applications for a year long course in Digital Journalism, Podcasting and Radio starting in November.

Trained by industry professionals in Radio Kerry over 50 weeks you will learn the fundamentals of journalism, radio, podcasting, news reporting, sports, and music presenting. The course culminates in a 3 month work placement in a media organisation.

Some of the students who took part in this course are now working in Radio Kerry and two of those students - David Nelligan and Niamh Daly recently got nominated and won awards at the 2023 IMRO National Radio awards.

Another of the Kerry College Radio Kerry Digital Journalism, Podcasting and Radio graduates is Ian O Connell who presents Stand Out with Ian O Connell on Radio Kerry each Wednesday. Ian has been nominated for an IMRO Radio Awards for the past two years.
