ADVETEC implements sustainable waste technology into Texas Theme Park

Six Flags Entertainment Corporation is the world’s largest regional theme park company with $1.5 billion in revenue and 26 parks across North America. For more than 58 years has entertained millions of families with world-class coasters, themed rides, thrilling water parks and unique attractions.

At the start of the 2020 the team from ADVETEC Group led by Richard Gough started the implementation phase of the Six Flags project. We were on site for a 2 week installation of the XO technology that combines a mechanical and biological process reducing mass and volume by approximately 70%.

We are able to remotely monitor the performance of the technology and either modify the system using our online customer portal or send a local ADVETEC engineer to complete any maintenance as part of our managed service agreement.

Using this customer portal we are able to provide real time weight data and with our RFID tagging system the operator is able to record the weight of each waste stream entering the system. This allows our team to accurately report on key waste statistics and with the management team implement process changes to reduce waste before it enters the XO system.

Our innovative technology reduces harmful greenhouse gases entering into the atmosphere, reduces pest and odour in the waste area and provides meaningful cost savings.
