5th recognition from Gartner, making Cartesiam the undisputed world leader of Embedded AI.

Paris, Aug 28th: Cartesiam announces that it has been identified as one of the top vendors in the “Gartner Hype Cycle Emerging Technologies, 2020“ in the “Embedded AI“ category.

For Gartner Group, manufacturers must quickly invest in this type of “new generation” technology, an emerging category for which Cartesiam is now an undisputed world leader.

Each year, the prestigious Gartner Group publishes several Hype Cycles. These eagerly awaited reports make technology maturity models more accessible and describes the major trends that will have a strong impact on businesses. Of the many Hype Cycles Gartner produces every year, the Gartner’s Hype Cycle for Emerging Technologies, 2020 is noteworthy as its methodology evaluated more than 1,700 emerging technologies into a concise set of the 30 most transformational in the next five to ten years.

“This Hype Cycle highlights technologies that will significantly affect business, society and people over the next five to 10 years,” says Brian Burke, Research VP, Gartner. “It includes technologies that enable a composable enterprise, aspire to regain society’s trust in technology and alter the state of your brain.”

Cartesiam recognized among giants such as Arm, STMicroelectronics, NXP and Renesas

For Gartner, Embedded AI refers to the use of AI/ML techniques within embedded systems to enable an analysis of locally captured data. Virtually all major microcontroller vendors have expanded their offering to enable embedded AI. It is one of the fascinating new technologies on the Hype Cycle, given its potential to increase the accuracy, insights and intelligence gained from current and next-generation sensors.

Most, if not all industries are impacted and early leaders in this area include Arm, Cartesiam, NXP Semiconductors, One Tech, Renesas Electronics and STMicroelectronics.

Since the beginning of the year, 5 Gartner recognitions have been awarded to Cartesiam to testify to its technological leadership in Embedded AI.

In addition to the above Hype Cycle for Emerging Technologies, here are the 4 other mentions of Cartesiam.

A great recognition of the uniqueness of our technology and encouragement to keep our leadership position in the Edge AI market.

“Being identified by Gartner as one of the top vendors for the Edge AI technology in so many areas is a great honor and fantastic recognition for the Cartesiam team. Our technology is the result of several years of research and development where we rewrote, from algebra, all machine learning algorithms and signal processing algorithms so that they could run in a tiny environment such as microcontrollers.” comments Joel Rubino, CEO and co-founder of Cartesiam.

He adds, “We created NanoEdge™ AI Studio, a new generation Machine Learning IDE to make our technology widely available to embedded developers so that they easily develop and integrate Machine Learning functions into any object. There is no equivalent offer on the market which explains this recognition by Gartner Group and our rapid international expansion with a variety of innovative clients use cases “.
