5 Questions with Karthik, Sales Coordinator at Essmart

1. Tell us a little about yourself
My name is Karthik, and I’m 23 years old. My family is from Kallakurchi, a town in Tamil Nadu. It’s about 275 km from Bangalore. However, I myself was born and raised in Bangalore and also completed my studies here. In my free time I play cricket, watch TV and chat with my friends. I also really enjoy playing kabaddi! It’s a local team sport played between two teams of seven players.
2. What is your role at Essmart?
I work as a Sales Coordinator at the Head Office in Bangalore. I’ve been with Essmart for almost 2 years.
3. What does your day to day look like at the office?
As a Sales Coordinator, I support our sales teams and follow up on orders and pending collections. I handle a total of 5 Essmart Branches: Chikmagalur, Karur, Sirsi, Shivamogga, and Vellore. I make calls to dealers and Sales Executives in each branch on a daily basis to get updates. I also promote product offers and help dealers with any questions.
4. What is one of your favorite memories at Essmart?
I had a lot of fun at last year’s Annual Company Retreat in Mysore. In one of the activities we had to do a staged performance and compete with other teams. I had to act like a boy getting married in a marriage function! It was a lot of fun.
5. If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
The power to fly!
