5 Non-Marketing Instagram Accounts to Inspire Your Own

Oftentimes when you look outside of your niche, you'll find content gold that'll help you create your own engaging content. Due to the visual nature of Instagram, it is a goldmine of great content inspiration. Here are 5 Instagram accounts - outside of the marketing world - that have helped inspire our own content. Would love to know what yours are!

  1. Penguin Random House (@penguinrandomhouse) - If your audience loves books - as ours does - follow Penguin Random House for inspiration for your own book posts. Along with well-staged photos of books, they also create simple, yet compelling graphics that provide value to their audience. Be sure to peruse their captions - they’re a great, go-to reference for how to engage your audience and start conversations!
  2. Harvard Business Review (@harvard_business_review) - Simplicity + Value = A Winning Combination. Harvard Business Review creates relevant and valuable content for its audience. They definitely know their Customer Avatar! Make sure to pay attention to their use of minimalistic, clean graphics with compelling, valuable, long-form captions.
  3. Lego (@lego) - Lego is the ultimate account to follow if you want to showcase your product in super engaging and fun ways! By incorporating pop culture references seamlessly into posts, Lego is able to really relate to its audience. A perfect example of how to use something everyone is already talking about to your advantage!
  4. Adobe (@adobe & @adobecreate) - If you're looking for inspiration for incorporating user-generated content into your feed, Adobe is a must. Featuring user-generated creations, allows them to "promote" their products without actually promoting them. The company has 2 accounts - @adobe showcases creativity and @adobecreate provides resources to help anyone become a creator.
  5. Foundr Magazine (@foundr) - There are a number of great accounts geared toward entrepreneurs, but Foundr stands out because their graphics are just so clean and pretty. The colors work so well together. Foundr has really honed in on content that inspires entrepreneurs and uses highly engaging visuals to do just that.

These are just 5 but there are plenty more accounts that have inspired us! Barkbox, Glossier, Refinery29, Starbucks, and more. What are yours?
