2022 Chastain Park Conservancy Spring Membership Campaign

Dear Supporter,

Each spring in Chastain Park we are greeted by the emerging colors blossoming from the trees and sprouting from the ground beneath. The PATH around the park comes to life as people flock outside to enjoy the magic of springtime in Atlanta. Our goal at the Chastain Park Conservancy is to ensure that each time our more than 2 million yearly visitors come to the park they have a world-class experience. We are a 501c3 organization with a mission of restoring, enhancing, maintaining, and preserving the 268 acres that are Chastain Park. We cannot do this without you, so thank you for your ongoing support.

The roadmap we use to better the park is the Master Plan which was created and approved in 2008. Over the next two years we will be working to update the master plan to uncover the park’s potential for the next 20 years. In March we celebrated the ribbon cutting of another Master Plan project, the Chastain Park Avenue PATH expansion, while walkers rushed by eager to complete their 5k for the day. Our team is busy implementing other projects like the North Woods nature trail revival and the replacement of key pavilions nearby. The ongoing removal of invasive plants continues to open gathering spaces that were once hidden away.

In 2022 Brian Barnes took the reigns as our Director of Operations and Volunteer Programs. Brian leads with a passion and vision for our park that leaves smiling faces in his wake. In February Antonio Horton joined Brian’s team as a landscape technician. Antonio’s stories of how the community has welcomed him has been heartwarming for all of us. We are grateful that our 268-acre park is in such good hands. We ask that you join us in our daily mission to keep Chastain Park clean, safe and green.

Your membership and support matters. Over 90% of our annual funding comes from this community, events and foundations. Please visit our website to donate to the Chastain Park Conservancy.

Thank you,

Carson Matthews
