In 2019 we changed everything

At the top of 2019, we told you that everything was about to change - and it certainly has. It’s been an honor to lead Verizon in 2019 and to enable our world-class people to transform the industry and the world. Here are a few ways that we’ve changed the game in 2019:

  • On February 8th, we were the first in the U.S. telecom industry to close on a $1B Green Bond to fund environmental initiatives and committed to going carbon neutral by 2035.
  • On March 25th, we announced an inaugural two-year innovation partnership with the NFL to jointly develop new products and services that utilize 5G and other future technologies to enhance NFL games and the overall fan experience.
  • On April 3rd, we were first in the world to 5G - launching in Chicago and Minneapolis...and now we’re in 31 cities.
  • On September 23rd, we launched a first-of-its-kind immersive RYOT experience at the United Nations Climate Action Summit to educate policy-makers and the public about the need for preserving our planet.
  • On September 26th, we announced that we were the first co-chair of the CEO Coalition aimed at galvanizing the private sector in support of the Global Goals Live campaign with Global Citizen to end world poverty by 2030.
  • On October 22nd, we announced a first-of-its-kind partnership with the Walt Disney Company - serving as the exclusive wireless carrier partner to offer customers a year of Disney+.
  • On December 3rd, we were first in the world to offer 5G network edge computing with AWS Wavelength unleashing the power of mobile edge computing and bringing the cloud closer to users on the world’s premier 5G network.

And we’re just getting started.

Thank you to our customers and our V Team for an incredible year. Cheers to 2020!

I AM VERY, VERY ANGRY WITH VERIZON!!!! I became a Verizon client last year. April 2019. Bought new phones from you in December. The sales team LIED to me. My per unit cost went from $30 a month to $75 per month. The sales representative said it will increase to $36 a month per unit. Since many, many calls to the sales team there has not been any resolution. This by far is the worst situation I have been in since I got my first cell phone. I WANT OUT OF MY 2 YEAR CONTRACT NOW, NOW! Have your representative contact me. In intend to get this all over social media if this is not resolved soon.

i have had this wireless # for over 10yrs. i have had nothing but issues every month. billing, etc. its always something. they always tell me im gonna get a credit to my acct when i dont. i usually contact support with a live agent on the app so i know there is a paper trail. my dad died in jan. my service stopped working half way down to his house which is in the same state, only an hour away. i dealt with u guys for 3 days while dealing with my dads death. u guys said i needed a new sim card. did that. than u said it was my phone. fter being in a verizon store for hours nd being on the phone for hours. i went to an old backup phone. u changed my # and it took over an hr to switch it back to my original #, but the issues were my phone. 2 weeks later, i go into the verizon store, put my sim card in my original phone, my lg stylo 4, and it started working just fine and i havent had issues until now. on thursday 2/27/2020 i had foot surgery. i paid the bill on my way to surgery so it was taken care of and i would have no issues. well than u also pulled a pmt last night too cause i have aitomatic pmt. i thought it would pull from the funds that was there in the acct already.

It is so sad the way your field techs are treated. My husband has been with the company for 20years and the last year has been terrible. the mental abuse he endures on a daily basis is horrible. After the death of our 18 year old niece they harassed him so badly he wind up in the hospital for a break down!!! I want him to retire but he won't until he is offered a package. He is a by the book, hard working man, who has a family to provide for and all they do his make his life a living hell! there is no reason for it. He dreads going to work!! it is so sad that after 20years with no problems, always positive reviews, that this is all of a sudden happening. Perhaps you should have the foremen and first, second and third liners take a class on how to treat employees!! At this point he is going to the ethics department for harassment!! The field techs work hard on a daily basis and make your company run, at least treat them with respect!!!!  ---one upset wife!
