Likely our last post specifically about Web3 as HyperArc transitions to the broader analytics space which we're excited to share more about soon! However, we wanted to leave something behind. One of the first things we saw a need for in Web3 was a transformation layer specifically for the hierarchical and semi-structured data of logs and traces from on chain transactions. Most seemed to force this data into tables only to try to regain some of the original structure and hierarchy needed for analytics through complex SQL. Instead we designed an annotations layer, the Semantic ABI, on top of smart contract interfaces to get to an analytics ready dataset in a single shot which we've open sourced thanks mostly to Garrett Kiel! https://lnkd.in/gr2vj-e8

Brian Platz: "By encoding meaning within a JSON document through the semantic standard — shared vocabulary — of RDF, JSON-LD lets data be organized, contextualized and connected anywhere. Machines can read and analyze data wherever it lives without human intervention. It becomes possible to re-use data regardless of application, freeing you from entering the same data multiple times into multiple databases. Tasks such as sharing, compliance reporting and re-operationalizing data into new applications becomes much easier." https://lnkd.in/gWJPR3PU
Why is JSON-LD important for the development of Web3? ⬇️ Amongst other reasons, Fluree CEO Brian Platz emphasizes JSON-LD's ability to wrap data in RDF, a universal format that enables data to be interpreted and used outside of the database. Summary: Achieved significant network optimization by reducing WebSocket message size, minimizing data transfer, and implementing data compression, resulting in a substantial improvement in rendering speed of a map application using LiveView. Overcame performance bottlenecks and enhanced the client-server interaction, leading to a Lighthouse score of 93+. Takeaway: Demonstrated the impact of network optimization techniques, such as message size reduction and data compression, on improving the performance of a LiveView application, resulting in a faster rendering speed of a map and a higher Lighthouse performance score. Have you noticed this behavior with the Newtonsoft.Json library? When you add a new property to a class that represents existing JSON data, it automatically adds a corresponding element with a default value to the JSON. Similarly, when you remove an existing property from the class, it automatically removes its corresponding element from the JSON. Throughout this process, it keeps other elements and their values intact.
