🌟 Excited to Share Our Latest Findings! 🌟 Our recently published article, "Socioeconomic determinants influencing adherence to secondary prophylaxis in patients with rheumatic heart disease - a systematic review," explores the critical relationship between education and adherence in managing Rheumatic Heart Disease (RHD). Key highlights include: Impact of Education: Education significantly influences adherence to RHD treatment, though not always predictably. Social Determinants: Disadvantaged environments affect adherence behaviors, highlighting the need to address broader socioeconomic factors in healthcare. Adherence Drivers: Factors like forgetfulness, injection fears, and healthcare provider issues impact adherence levels. Improvement Strategies: Patient education, community initiatives, and outreach programs are essential for improving adherence. Action for Better Outcomes: Addressing barriers such as commute, waiting times, injection fears, and financial concerns can enhance adherence and prevent RHD complications. Our findings emphasize a multifaceted approach to improving adherence in RHD management by addressing socioeconomic disparities and implementing patient-centered interventions.
