As a native of the Triad (GSO), it has been interesting following the development of the Boom Supersonic Aircraft. The aerospace technologies that make these aircraft possible will have an impact on the Triads manufacturing ablilities beyond that of the Boom Supersonic Aircrafts. The necessity for bringing highly capable Engineers, Mechanics and Technologist to build and support these advanced airplanes, promises local human resources that can elevate the capabilities of this community at large. That being said, there are several Aircraft programs that would have a far greater immediate impact to our communities regional lift needs. The passenger lift needs of our market dynamics are similar to many like size markets. The Future now, Deutsche Aircraft D328eco. A low risk value proposition as compared to Boom Supersonic. This is the Nexgen DC3, the Aircraft the made Piedmont Airlines possible and began the dawn of passenger airlines as we know today. https://lnkd.in/eUPV_8_F

Mesa Airlines, Inc. Places Big Bet on XTI Aerospace TriFan 600 VTOL Aircraft Mesa Airlines, a regional carrier, has announced a provisional commitment to acquire up to 100 TriFan 600 aircraft, a turbine-powered VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) designed by XTI Aerospace. The TriFan 600 promises to be more cost-effective than electric VTOL options, according to XTI. While Mesa has also invested in electric and hybrid-electric aircraft, they view the TriFan's ability to operate from more locations as a significant advantage. This is a major development in the VTOL aircraft space, indicating growing interest from established airlines.

Every now and again I think back to this moment. Such a weird, incredible feeling seeing something you built on such a massive stage. But I wonder if the timing was right… Track your aircraft. Track your engines. Track your parts. Has this value proposition become more important in the last 6 months since we ran the billboard? I’d say so. Have we seen much positive change towards a more digital aviation and aerospace supply chain? I don’t think so. At least not at scale. We’re here to drive that positive change, even if it takes a lifetime. Let’s Fly ✈️ cc Aerotrax & Brex #aviation #avmro #letsfly

The impact of the latest Pratt & Whitney PW1100G engine issue - relating to its high-pressure turbine and compressor discs - is beginning to show up in Asia-Pacific, with Air New Zealand today warning of "significant" schedule changes to come. Other carriers I reached out to, like All Nippon Airways and IndiGo (InterGlobe Aviation Ltd), say they are assessing any potential impact on fleet - and to a large extent, network - in the coming weeks. Singapore's Scoot, meanwhile, says at least four engines in their fleet are affected by the issue, warning that it "may need to adjust some of our flights" to account for additional inspections in the coming weeks. The Boeing 777X is powered by General Electric's GE9X engine, a successor to the GE90 and GEnx architectures. Renowned for its fuel efficiency, it promises a 10% improvement over its predecessor, the GE90-115B, while also reducing CO2, NOx, and noise emissions. Despite initial durability issues with the high-pressure compressor, GE resolved them for successful integration into the aircraft. Notably, the GE9X-powered Boeing 777X completed its maiden flight on January 25, 2020, and is set for commercial deployment by late 2023 to early 2024, with launch customer Lufthansa. Among the eager customers awaiting the Boeing 777X are major airlines like Emirates, British Airways, and Qatar Airways. #boeing #Aviation #GE9X #GE #B777X (Picture courtesy- Google)
