BIG NEWS! Zero Carbon Systems announced today that we have purchased Global Thermostat and its best-in-class technology for removing carbon dioxide from the air to fight climate change. As we come out of stealth mode after four years of R&D by a team of 25 engineers, plus another 30 individuals who’ve been working on this at Global Thermostat, we want to say how excited we are about this technology’s potential. We intend to own and operate the world’s most cost-effective Direct Air Capture plants for carbon removal, continuously capturing carbon dioxide using renewable energy. We’ll start with a plant that will remove over 2,500 tons a year and demonstrate the success of our design, on which we’re now obtaining a 140-page international patent. We intend to be at megaton scale by around 2030. We’ll have more to share in the coming days about our plans and how we got here.
