YWCA Metropolitan Chicago’s Post

Today, we honor the anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, a monumental law that outlawed discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. This landmark legislation was a crucial step towards equality and justice, reminding us of the ongoing fight for civil rights and the importance of standing up for the dignity and rights of all individuals. YWCA Metropolitan Chicago continues to work towards eliminating racism and celebrates the accomplishments of those who support our mission. This year, at our 52nd Annual Leader Luncheon: She the People, we celebrate the accomplishments of those who support our mission and are doing remarkable work in the name of an equal and equitable city. #YWCAChicago #YWCASheThePeople #CivilRightsAct1964 #JusticeForAll #CivilRightsMovement #EqualRights #EndDiscrimination
