Today Tiina Merkuljeva successfully defended her doctoral thesis titled "The Effects of External Group Supervision on Individual Professional Performance of Estonian Social Workers" and was awarded a Doctorate of Philosophy degree at the Estonian Business School. I am excited to share my recently published contribution to knowledge with Prof. Christopher Isike. In this chapter, we argued that the Political Science curriculum in post-colonial African Universities remain hegemonic and very disruptive to African cultural practices and indigenous epistemologies. We asked a salient, but often neglected question in the academia: whose interest does the study of political science as presently taught in African Universities serve? I’ve just finished the program of Political Science of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences of Ilia State University. Within the framework of the program I carried out mobility in Lyon, at CEFAM Centre d'Études Franco-Américain de Management for one semester as part of the Erasmus+. I received my bachelor's degree based on the following thesis paper: Ethnic strategies of the imperial state (Russia) (cases of Abkhazia and Crimea). The paper investigates the ethnic strategies used by Russia during Tzarism, Soviet Union and Post-Soviet period; describes similarities and differences between above-mentioned ethnic groups and explains correlation between the level of Russification and the characteristics of ethnic strategies.

“Not everything that counts can be counted, and not everything that can be counted counts” A nice title for the session at the 2024 EUA Council for Doctoral Education https://lnkd.in/eegq_ibz. However, some things in the text look weird to me. "...according to the institution [Utrecht University], “all its research institutes are assessed by external expert assessment committees once every six years”. To the best of my knowledge, all the Dutch universities are assessed in a similar way. And frankly, SEP is rather about consultancy than assessment. Probably, it is one of the main differentiating features of the Dutch HE system. #researchassessment
