Give developers what they need, the way they want it. That is one of the central tenets of the Data Protocol platform and our mission as a company. I think we - as a company and an industry - too often take for granted that this a good idea. I know that we have taken for granted why #devrel matters. Taken for granted that companies invested in developers as customers and stakeholders understand that the cost of not considering those partners is incredibly high. How high? Ask Apple.

Certainly, this storied company has had its battles with developer partners. Dramatic shifts in policy, opaque review policies, haphazard developer communications…law suits…etc., but the price for prioritizing, or in this case not prioritizing, the right things and the right people appears to have become a (virtual) reality.
