All work no play makes jack a dull boy .. Tried myself with Basic Mountaineering Course at Nehru Institute of Mountaineering, Uttarkashi. While the course is titled “basic”, it is really a test of physical and mental strength. Scaling heights and lengths with ~20kg loaded rucksack at high altitude is no joke. We were trained on Rock, Ice and Snow craft. We also scaled 15,300 ft height gain. In the graduation ceremony today, we were badged by Ms Santosh Yadav (https://lnkd.in/dXmRh36j), an eminent mountaineer. It was a privilege moment. I’m also proud to share that my group/rope was awarded best rope of the entire course.

Congratulations team!!! It is my privilege to work with this amazing team. Keep shining !!

In AmazeInTech 2023, I talked about “The Big Picture”. The idea was to use real technical examples to influence the audience to focus on “why we do what we do” and not just on “what we do”. I hope this will have long lasting impact and we’ll forge robust next-gen leaders. As I discussed about Amazon internal technology at depth, I can’t share the full talk here.
