It’s not just *what* you teach; it’s *how* you teach, and a good teacher training course gives you the HOW to create infinite classes. When I designed the Barre Eclipse method, my training had to be good enough to teach beginner instructors yet insightful enough to improve the instruction of experienced teachers. 🤔Can you #FindYourFloW doing Pilates...? I wonder why on earth have I never shared this story before...! My Pilates certificate was gathering dust in a drawer for over 3 years...until I qualified as a Yoga teacher. I felt that I needed experience and too intimidated by a discipline that is widely recommended by health authorities. About a month later, a colleague persuaded me to cover a #PilatesClass for 3 weeks at a club, I had never been before, and I said yes. I had solid experience as a Personal Trainer and in many #GroupFitness modalities but not in Holistic disciplines. As soon as I saw how the participants where moving, I started giving them options and I deviated from my lesson plan. Any move needs to suit our bodies, not the other way round. I learned almost all 24 names on the first day and we were all smiling at the end. 3 days became 2 years and 4 classes a week, including #Yoga. Most of my current class participants come from that club. The other half are their friends or family. 🤔Why on earth did I wait 3 years to teach something that benefits us all? Arris gym class continues on Zoom. We will be hitting the 2-year mark on September 20th and will update Arris Gym class from 2.1 to 2.2. If you are planning to join or come back, why not plan on starting on September 20th? Or join us on any Wednesday. The kids will be back in school, the daylight will be getting shorter, and you can get ready for next year's beach season. Again, we use the free version of Zoom to limit the session time. We do around 20 exercises, 45 seconds on and 15 seconds rest. We incorporate the use of a yoga ball and weights, but if not everyone has them, we can stick to body weight. Some exercises are easy and some can be high-impact. Just do what you can. Then we finish up with stretching. We start at 6:30 PM on Wednesday evenings.
