Heuristic work vs Algorithmic work; a question on my mind lately. How do we get it right in our time? What is the right blend? I'm a dog for accuracy and algorithms. I think it makes everything more efficient, but learning even with our very high-tech AI tools, the signal is difficult to find. A good mix is key. Maybe Heuristics, & Algorithms. Systems thinking, and humans or cyborgs. Hybrid intelligence..... You need a generalist with high capacity. and the drive to both generalize and specialize. An unnatural spaceship willing to carry. Someone interested in the right things. A mix of fast and slow thinking. The right environments and backgrounds, present and past.. etc.. Kahneman insinuations.... How much more do we know now? Or how much do we pretend to know is the issue with 'science'.It's how we sell. And then there's biases.
