Pivoting isn't a sign of failure; it's a strategic move. In my entrepreneurial journey, I've had to pivot multiple times to find the right product-market fit.
Each pivot taught me valuable lessons and brought me closer to success. Embrace change and adapt to the market's needs.

Choosing a cofounder is almost akin to a match-making process. Sometimes, that match happens with your spouse. How does one know that it is the ideal fit?
Tune in to S03 E07 (https://lnkd.in/gVWDcwA3) of #ThatOneIdea, where Akash Gupta, co-founder and CEO of Zypp Electric, recollects how he called his wife Rashi when the idea of Zypp struck him, the subsequent convincing that he had to do to get Rashi onboard and why he felt there was no better co-founder than having his wife as one, during his conversation with Anjali Sosale, Partner at WaterBridge Ventures.
Co-founder relationships gone wrong can wreck a young company. Examples abound where failed startups have destroyed co-founder relationships irreversibly. But one can always move on, start afresh, or find a new co-founder. What happens if the co-founder is your spouse?
That's why it is extremely important for the value system, aspirations, outlook and work ethics to match, before choosing one's spouse as the co-founder. For Akash, that decision was, luckily, a no-brainer.
Akash and Rashi shared the same entrepreneurial bent of mind. When Akash's manager at Airtel urged him to write 100 things that he wanted to do, starting a business was a dream that the husband-wife duo jointly shared. Rashi was a constant source of support, encouragement and positivity, never doubting Akash's capabilities even once.
When Zypp's idea was conceived, Rashi was already running Let's Flaunt. What prompted her to switch?
While Let's Flaunt was running successfully, the couple realised that it could never scale to become a high-impact, fast-growth global business. Zypp seemed to be ambitious, but it could positively impact the lives of billions, even in a small way to start with.
Today, Zypp has prevented >31,000 metric tonnes of carbon emissions, equivalent to planting 1.5 million trees and growing them for 10 years.

As I was reading I came across this crazy news - The person that the ex-Shark reprimanded in the episode was Sulay Lavsi, founder and CEO of an innerwear brand called Bummer . The innerwear brand rose to prominence last week when it raised $1.1 million (Rs 9.25 crore) in funding from the Zerodha-famed Nikhil Kamath-led fund.
🚀💥 "From 'Doglapan' to Dominance! Ashneer Grover iconic line from Shark Tank India's first season becomes a tale of triumph for Sulay Lavsi's 'Bummer'! 🩳🔝
🦈 Once scrutinized by Grover, Sulay didn't let criticism define his journey. Instead, he turned the tables, securing a cool ₹75 lakh deal for 7.5% equity from Sharks Aman Gupta and Namita Thapar. Fast forward, and that equity's value has exploded to over ₹13 crores! 💸📈
🌟 Bummer's saga is nothing short of a blockbuster, with sales soaring 18x in just 18 months! And with a recent infusion of $1.1M (₹9.25 crore) led by Nikhil Kamath's fund, the sky's the limit. 🌈💼
🤝 Namita's recent praise for Sulay on X (formerly Twitter) underscores a vital Shark Tank lesson: Betting on the right founder pays off, literally! Sulay's journey from ₹60 lakhs to an 11 crore annual turnover is the stuff of legends. 🏆👏
🔍 Moral of the story? Never underestimate the underdog - or in this case, the underpants. Bummer's success is a snug reminder that with the right support and sheer determination, any startup can turn 'duplicity' into victory. 🌟💪

Dreams do come true 😊
Today is Mamaearth’s 7th birthday, seven years ago this day we brought this amazing brand to life which has created a legacy of its own and it’s still in Grade 1.
It’s been a while Varun Alagh and I had pulled out stuff from our launch days and no better day than today to do that. So pulled out the first formal pitch deck we had made to raise funds for our startup.
Some of this did come true and a lot of it did not, as an entrepreneur you imagine your journey to shape a certain way but then everyday is a new day and it shapes your journey in a new way.
Some fun stuff from this deck that I found has shaped us-
1. Our focus on quality and bringing innovative products for our consumers.
2. We called ourselves an Atomically Fast Moving Consumer Company who will focus on its core competences.
3. We envisioned doing 100 Cr sales in 5 years, over delivered on that vision by a factor of 10.
4. We believed digital and ecommerce will completely change the game for brands.
5. We had envisioned we will get into things like baby apparel, mom nursing wear. 🙈
6. We had predicted we will be a billion dollar valued publicly listed company in under 10 years, which did come true. 😊
7. Even then we were clear that in our investing partners we are not looking for just money but right advice and mentorship.

You must consistently put yourself out there, even if you are afraid.
The night before my Wednesday post announcing Creatr, I had non-stop nightmares. I woke up at 3:20am and did not go back to sleep till 5am..., i even considered cancelling my announcement....i forced myself back to sleep and the nightmares continued till i woke up.
Deep down, I was afraid. I was thinking: it's a pre-order for a software, what if no one makes an order? What if it's a bad idea for me to show designs of my feature before launching? What if it's a bad idea to show the upcoming features so publicly?
Even confident people get afraid. The trick is to push past the fear.
I pushed past it, and decided to proceed with the post.
