Designing for the Human Mind to Build Better Brains & Buildings | Senior Project Architect & Passionate Neuroscientist | Creating Human-Centric, Cognitively Enhanced Environments
Design is indeed a public health intervention and should also be considered as a public health right.
In honor of National Public Health Week’s theme “Protecting, Connecting and Thriving: We Are All Public Health,” we’re uncovering why design is a public health intervention, starting with making healthy community plans. Our health district planning framework considers how the places where we live, work, learn, and play profoundly impact our well-being and quality of life. By prioritizing place, population health, partnerships, and performance, we're building on health systems' growing commitment to tackle the social determinants of health in the neighborhoods we serve. Through this lens, we hope to create vibrant places that support a healthier future. Explore our booklet for transformative opportunities, our toolkit of community-driven solutions, and more:

It's National Public Health Week! This year's theme — "Protecting, Connecting and Thriving: We Are All Public Health" — reflects that the future of #publichealth hinges on our ability to bridge systems thinking, cross-sector collaboration, and community engagement to address the challenges facing our communities. Our Resilience Catalysts (RC) in Public Health initiative is working with local health departments across the country to do just that, helping strengthen their capacity to identify and address the root causes and structural drivers of inequity, including structural racism. Download our recently published evaluation report and infographic to learn more about the RC process and lessons learned: https://lnkd.in/ehfKdJFB #NPHW
