Very valuable insights, Julie Kim. Building on actual implementations and projects in more than 15 companies within the healthcare space, I propose to add change management and user support to the list. Many processes can be done differently and in an accelerated fashion, freeing up capacity of experts and healthcare professional. Helping users (and their stakeholders) manage and overcome fears while remaining transparent about the use of generative ai emerges as a key theme for successful and prolonged adoption. Organizations that set the appropriate KPIs from the beginning tend to see more effective results.

In 2023, we saw draft guidance from the Coalition for Health #AI group and government orders from the Biden administration on how the industry can best mitigate bias and have greater oversight of application use in the clinical environment.
