Showing up to work on time every day is becoming a thing of the past in new hybrid arrangements as workers avoid commutes and tailor their schedules to be in the office only when they really need to be. It’s just one of many etiquette norms changing post-pandemic as workplaces become more casual. And giving more leeway to staff regarding their arrival times is an example of continued demand for #flexibility from workers and how they are personally adapting to new #hybrid working environments. In this piece by Hailey Mensik, we speak to Eugene Klimaszewski of Mammoth Security Inc.

#coffeebadging is the essence of value you get out of colocation. Informal interaction, opportunity to overhear, unintentional conversations, tacit communication that happens via gestures and body language are needed for a team to function effectively. An hour spent together as a team is very efficient and you can get your daily routine work in the remaining time. Serious work needing focus and concentration is best done remotely. The biggest advantage of collaborative tools like email, chat, video conferencing, defect tracking, version control is that every moment of your digital presence is recorded in some form or the other. In the age of generative AI , it allows your copilot to listen in and guide you. https://lnkd.in/dXp5gczM

Should we be surprised that the evidence shows that hybrid work leads to greater job satisfaction, better work–life balance, and better staff retention than staff who work exclusively from an office? This study also shows that hybrid workers are just as productive as their office-dwelling peers. It's not a perfect study by any means but it's a great place to start the argument for retaining flexible work in your organistaion: https://lnkd.in/g-h5yaT2
