Seventh graders from Falmouth Public Schools got their feet wet during a day of ocean science in Woods Hole last week! Sponsored by #WHOI, and the NOAA Fisheries Northeast Fisheries Science Center, the students visited the Woods Hole Science Aquarium for a scavenger hunt, toured the WHOI dock and R/V Tioga, and dissected fish to determine their age and growth rates. We hope these local students are inspired to consider careers in marine science!
What an amazing opportunity for these kiddos! I'm sure their visit was both, educational and inspiring!
Captain Peter Collins and mate Annie Sisson did a great job answering questions and telling our oceanographic story. Thank you Pete and Annie!
Caroline Day can I come too?
What a wonderful opportunity - nice job, WHOI!

2moGood job! It is immensely important for young people, as early in life as possible, to understand and to value our shared natural environment. Older generations have failed them and left them a perilous planet. It will be up to them to do immeasurably better.
