Not far from one of our offices, we are helping the City of Portland, Maine significantly reduce combined sewer overflows by adding the 3.5 million gallon Back Cove Combined Sewer Storage Facility. Our structural engineering team recently visited the site and stood inside one of the storage tanks that will soon be helping protect water quality in Back Cove and Casco Bay. It was a first-hand look at how we are leaving the world a better place through our work! #StormwaterStorage #SewerOverflows #CascoBay #StormwaterManagement #DesignBuild #CoastalFlooding

Thank you to the team for letting me tag along on this visit, once I promised not to touch anything. It was very cool seeing these from the inside out. Zachary Bowen spent a lot of time designing these and observing their construction, I think it will be a bittersweet moment for him once they get covered up.
