2B+ Covid vaccinations administered, 800+ M internet users, 99% population having access to electricity, 7 medals in the last Olympics, 3rd largest pharmaceutical industry in the world, ranked 3rd in terms of Startup ecosystem, Mangalyaan & Chandrayaan 2 in the space and well on its way to become the 3rd largest global economy! India has come a long way in the last 77 years. But as a middle class individual, the above do not matter much. We still feel India has not done much for its citizens, we still struggle for basic needs, we crib about safety & we blame the government for high taxes. But what we never thank for & take for granted is 1) We made it through the biggest Pandemic of our generation, much better than the developed economies, with much less stringent measures 2) We can leave for work in the morning, with assurance that we'll come back safe & will not be a victim of shooting by some frustrated teenager 3) Afford basic healthcare without spending heavily on a Health Insurance 4) Communicate with each other through affordable network coverage 5) Reach even the remotest of the towns with affordable air & train connectivity Well I can go on, but I think I've painted the picture. We do have shortcomings, but as we do in executive reporting, let's start by looking at the growth we've achieved! goML wishes everyone 77th Independence Day! Let's support the growth! #goml #independenceday

As all of the #eoy posts start rolling in, all I can say is that 2023 has been a rollercoaster and I am exhausted from the #hustle. So many good things have happened: ⭐ Alyson Claire Law, Prof. Corp. signed over 30 new clients (and we had a TON of repeat business too). ⭐ I turned 40 and enjoyed many special celebrations (including getting a new tattoo). ⭐ I got to present at two in-person international space conferences (including a Special Session at IAC) and really cemented myself as a #spacelaw expert. But a lot of not great things have happened too: ⛔ I did not hit any of my business growth goals (except for the investigations part of my practice where I smashed my KPIs) because, despite so many new clients, many of the engagements were smaller revenue engagements and, as for many other law firms, Q2 and Q3 were brutal as many companies slashed legal budgets and cut down on non-emergency transactional work. And that led me to look at potentially joining a larger law firm, especially after several potential clients flat out told me they would never work with a solo attorney (#teenylaw). Nothing came of these attempts (my client base was too diverse, the salary offered was less than what I make on my own, my book was too small, etc.) other than lots of wasted time, hurt feelings, and frustration. ⛔ I’ve lost several friends due to antisemitism. (I also lost a friend of over a decade because I didn’t withdraw from IAC after Azerbaijan launched a military offensive on Nagorno-Karabakh less than two weeks before the conference.) ⛔ My Eldest Cat died. (This is my first Christmas without him in over a decade and it is really hard.) But, here I am. And as my husband pointed out, yeah, maybe things didn’t go as well as I had hoped, or as well as last year, but my little law firm kept a roof over our heads, food on our table, and I got to travel around the world (albeit for work). And, we drank a lot of good champagne this year, so there’s that. So cheers to another year in the books! And let’s see what 2024 has in store for me.

Preserving family values is crucial for the success of any business, especially when passed down through generations. In the case of Busy Bee, my grandfather’s (the founder successor) emphasis on family reflects a commitment to enduring principles that contribute to the company's strength and resilience. These values create a solid foundation, fostering a sense of unity and purpose among employees, ultimately supporting the long-term success of the business. As the fourth generation of the business, it is of utmost importance that we keep passing down these values to ensure a legacy of integrity & unity. #proudgrandson #longtermsuccess #corevalues https://lnkd.in/eGCavQxk

I came across many interesting posts today for #independenceday on how everyone is still wanting to get freedom for this or freedom from that. But let's take a moment here and ask ourselves: How many of us truly dedicatedly work to attain that freedom? Because gaining freedom is not a one-day job; but, it requires continuous effort. #happyindependenceday #thoughts #freedomstruggle

Setting up international company structures isn't easy... unless you have Jabran Chaudhry and Rony Choueiri by your side. These legends have supported us from Day 1, when we had no revenue, to where we are now as we scale up globally with teams across the UK, Asia, and beyond. International company structures can be intimidating, but with these veterans by your side, it's strange how calming this whole process can be. Shameless plug – hit these saviours up if you need quality advice.

As we celebrate our nation's Independence Day, we honor the courageous forefathers who fought tirelessly for the freedom we cherish today. Their bravery and determination have granted us a society where we can aspire, dream, and achieve. Koi's Law, which states that the growth of a koi fish is determined by its environment, offers a profound lesson for our own lives. Just as the koi's potential is bound by the size of its pond, our independence and growth are deeply influenced by the environments we create for ourselves. This Independence Day, let's reflect on how our surroundings, both personal and professional, shape our paths to freedom. The fight for freedom is ongoing, and today, it takes on new forms. 💡 **Financial Freedom**: A personal journey that demands resilience, strategic planning, and continuous learning. Our environments—mentors, networks, opportunities—play a crucial role in this journey. 💡 **Personal Development**: Our growth is tethered to the experiences we seek, the challenges we embrace, and the boundaries we push. As we honor our national independence, let's also commit to cultivating environments that foster our personal and financial independence. Let's celebrate the freedom to choose our paths, create opportunities, and grow beyond the limits set by our current circumstances. Happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸 Let's continue the fight for freedom in all its forms. 💪✨ #IndependenceDay #KoisLaw #FinancialFreedom #PersonalGrowth #CelebrateFreedom #ContinuousImprovement
