Twenty years difference, but not much has changed. Misogyny and sexism are still commonplace in sport and society today, but we’ve had enough. We're asking the next government to #EndMisogyny in sport through policies, criminalising misogyny and setting up an Independent Regulator to tackle abuse in sport. Will you join us? Write to your local election candidates using our template and ask them to show their support to women and girls: https://lnkd.in/emDRYM5Q #EndMisogyny
I didn't know what reaction to put for this. It's great that Women in Sport continue to campaign on the blatant sexism and misogyny across the industry 🙌

2wThere needs to be experts in gender dynamics as part of these initiatives. Tackling these problems require many viewpoints but what seems to be missing is an intersectional, cultural, and power perspective. These issues are rooted in history and ignoring historical context means we are doomed to keep making the same mistakes. We don’t need more hashtag justice… just ask the BLM and MeToo movements.
