21 Ways In 21 Day #18 Our National Day is Postcode Pride Day. What if we reframed Australia’s National Day to “Postcode Pride Day”. We’d spend our energy and focus on learning to embrace and belong with all the people in our postcode. We would have street parties, community events, sports competitions, arts and food festivals in our neighbourhoods to strengthen our sense of community. We would acknowledge and pay respect to the history of our postcode area. We would tell stories about how it has changed over time. We would create fun competitions that reflect our best values of belonging together. ‘Postcode Pride Day’ is an alternative story to our postcodes being a determining factor of access, privilege and success in life. ‘Postcode Pride Day’ is about being proud of your own community and it can build a strong bond of belonging to flip the script on negative stereotypes. We could develop happiness and belonging indicators to tell a different narrative about our people in our Postcodes. The ‘Postcode Pride Day’ is a chance to build real connections with local people in your place. It is a way of acknowledging that we are the community that call this postcode home. Be proud and keep learning about the place you call home. Be encouraged and encourage others. Coming up next: Our National Day is Generations Day.

Profiles of employees that can kill the business and destroy the good team spirit, hence they must be fired as soon as they are detected. 1-Toxic team member. 2-Liar. 3-Cheater. 4-Thief. 5-Gossip and trouble makers between colleagues. Personal character in enterprise environments is more important than skills. As the second one we can always teach them through cross training and skills transfer however the first either we have them or we don’t. We believe in chances equality in our company and we give a chance to everyone but if a person doesn’t match with our culture or doesn’t want to adhere to our vision, we will continue our way without him/her.

Frontend Developer @Botlab Dynamics PVT Ltd (IIT DELHI) | GSSoC'23 | Web Development | Open Source Contribution
🎉 Reflecting on my journey through GSSoC23, I'm reminded of how serendipity played its part. Despite my late start, having stumbled upon a LinkedIn post about GSSoC23 in July – well into the program – I dove in with enthusiasm. My first pull request earned its merit on July 5, accompanied by the coveted Level 2 tag, a moment that set the course for my ascent. With this milestone as my launchpad, I embarked on a dedicated quest to contribute meaningfully. Tackling bug fixes and implementing new features, my GitHub activity became a testament to my consistency and perseverance. Merged pull requests became stepping stones, each contributing to my progress. While not every submission found its way into the codebase, my unwavering determination fueled my journey onward. The competitive atmosphere of GSSoC23, fueled by the participation of over 13,000 contributors from 14+ countries, only added to the thrill. It was a stage where innovation was nurtured, collaboration thrived, and where I found myself immersed in a dynamic global community of like-minded individuals. As the program reached its conclusion, I find myself humbled and honored to be among the top 100 contributors. It's a testament to the power of persistence, the allure of open-source collaboration, and the ability of a dedicated individual to shine even in the face of a delayed start. GSSoC23 has proven that it's not just about where you begin, but the journey you undertake and the dedication you exhibit that truly matters. Kudos to GSSoC23 for orchestrating an exceptional platform that united aspiring contributors from diverse backgrounds, fostering an ecosystem where growth knows no boundaries. 🚀🌍🙌 #GSSoC23 #Top100 #OpenSourceJourney #opensource GirlScript Summer of Code

2/20 KEEP GOING YOU ARE DOING GREAT! The above statement hits different recently because now I'm face to face with events that actually warrant such motivation. Before I Kick-started my journey with Africa Agility Foundation I was in a place in life where I knew had to move from if I wanted greatness, along the line Africa Agility Foundation came and it was like an intervention sent by God himself, the rest is history. Fast forward to this moment, we had a session today and I knew I needed a little extra time in order to catch up with the trainers lesson because I was lost somewhere in-between.It got tensed for me and I think a few of my fellow frontend queens felt the same way, so here is me asking myself and my fellow queens did we come this far just to come this far? aren't we queens after-all? We strive until we get it right, we may need a little more time of practice but eventually we get it right. Let's keep going and be resilient. Resilience - a trait that often distinguishes the good from the great. In our pursuit of excellence, the journey is riddled with challenges that test our resolve, patience, and spirit. To keep pushing forward I pledge to be persistent and focused, I am motivated today, I hope you are too Queens.
