AI has profoundly impacted my work as a Senior Data Scientist, particularly in the realm of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Statistical Modeling. As an avid NLP researcher, I leverage state-of-the-art open-source models to develop business critical products that not only delivers value in terms of ROI, but also make people's life easier in extracting value quicker from these AI products. Moreover, AI has played a pivotal role in my advocacy efforts to promote diversity and inclusion in the tech industry. 2. How do you use AI in your daily life? In my daily life as a Senior Data Scientist - Manager, Emerging Technology, AI is the center of it all. It serves as an indispensable tool that empowers me to build solutions using Generative AI toolkits like Langchain, LlamaIndex to build powerful products. Emerging Technology group is at the forefront of all cutting edge technological innovation and leverages state-of-the-art AI techniques to build products and solutions for our customers. 3. What is your favorite AI tool right now?  It has got to be GitHub CoPilot. Helps me focus on building actual complex logic rather than worrying about syntax errors. 4. What advice do you have for someone who is just getting started with AI? Observe the playing field, but don't be intimidated by the vastness of it. Learn and chose a path of your speciality and work towards it. Iterate fast and learn when to stop, when a project/solution is no longer viable or would add any value. Be BFF's with data. There is no AI without data. 5. Who should we follow in the AI space?  There are some fantastic leaders out there doing tremendous work and also sharing insights from their experience for everyone to learn. Check out: Cassie Kozyrkov Sol Rashidi 6. How can women in AI support each other? Two most important ways to support women in tech: 1. Being a Mentor: Experienced women leaders in AI can guide and advise those starting their careers or transitioning into AI roles. Mentors can provide valuable feedback, industry know-how, and help navigate challenges. 2. Join a Professional Network: Joining or creating professional networks like Women in AI, WomenTech Network allows women to connect with like-minded individuals, share experiences, and support each other's tech careers.
