We would like to congratulate Dr. Eric Lullove, DPM, CWSP, FFPM RCPS(Glasg) on his first surgical case with EasyWhip®! He successfully completed an Achilles tendon repair with our novel two-part needle, employing our patented WhipLock™ stitch. This method not only increases security of the repair, but also minimizes tissue damage by distributing the suture load (Diaz et al. 2024) and decreases stitching time. Today we are giving you a sneak peak of our time in the biomechanics cadaver lab with the Foundation for Orthopaedic Research and Education (FORE)! In this clip, Dr. Neil Kumar, MD, MBA shares his thoughts on EasyWhip®. During the lab, Dr. Kumar got to spend some time really diving into the in’s and out’s of EasyWhip®. After stitching over 20 grafts utilizing our novel two-part needle, here’s what he had to say: “The graft is well-tensioned, looks great, is balanced, and it doesn’t bunch. Another beautiful repair by Dr. Nathan Graves DPM, FACFAS! Dr. Graves seamlessly performed an Achilles tendon repair on a chronic Achilles tendonosis debridement using EasyWhip®. He employed the WhipLock™ stitch technique for increased security, similarly following the steps shown in our Achilles tendon repair EasyGuide™. This stitch technique with EasyWhip® decreases OR time and minimizes tissue damage with 50% fewer needle passes than a conventional Krackow stitch.
